27/07/2020 - tech and hype IMHO

my personal opinion what's cool user interface and user experience. an abstract field but very important dashboards and dynamic data websites. data visualisation rocks in helping people understand what's going on. machine learning powered web sites, recommender systems web scraping text and image recognition digital currencies that allow better tracing, reduce fraud executive functions and habits, systems over passion what's hype - because they are too convoluted block chain - see this medium article on trust systems and difficulty of auditing smart contracts UI libraries - material UI, ant design, etc. ant design is more configurable

22/07/2020 - machine learning, executive functions

done with the stats parts and moving on to machine learning theory coding is one thing, but i feel like i need to learn more about how it works. the udemy video is not in depth enough so i went around googling. went to NLB overdrive and grazed on some books before setting on a random book look at some keywords and started googling and searching images also trying this bob trenwith machine learning  youtube series  , will let you know if its good now i have thought running in my head like: why is it so complicated; i hate maths; self-learning is pretty stressful i think my workouts are working to reduce my mental stress and helping me focus better; less urge to take breaks and slack off do read on executive function ebooks sometimes because i have failed to launch and do adulting properly currently reading The Executive Functioning Workbook for Teens i do like it

21/07/2020 - kaggle jupyter notebook

hi its the snail /shameful unemployed procrastinator here again course online for data science on udemy by 365 careers it has 28hrs of lectures, the good thing is half the lectures are stats theory so far permutations and combinations bayes linear regression for the parts which can calculate in excel, can just use google sheets on your browser when you just don't want pay for MS office for the practical part using python, you need to install the environment anaconda, jupyter etc  problem is i don't like cluttering my computer with downloads and installations prefer online environment to local environment solution is to use kaggle kernels . it allows you to open the ipynb file (jupyter) and also upload the dataset file (csv, excel) >.< so now you can run your jupyter notebook online and see all your coding steps unfortunate this is a paid course, i am not sure if the instructor minds their tutorials solutions posted online, so i didn't share the kaggle notebook :(

20/07/2020 - brandon foltz youtube stats playlist, productivity apps

been watching 1 - 2 hours of brandon foltz youtube stats the chrome tracker and android blocker works. the app blocks me from playing during my designated work time. like a boss or a mum. not doing coding these days, but i will try to push my small code on video played time tracker to codesandbox and also test the code on a random youtube site. i couldn't find anything that tracks my udemy usage, played time is more accurate of studied amount than progress (you can just skip ahead and count as progress). i think? i managed to get into exercise. mainly because i felt less sleepy after the workout. felt the burn, the breathlessness, increased energy and enjoyed it, i watch gabriella whited  summer slim thick workout (music, shorter workout), chloe ting  2 week shred (more tiring than gabby's, i managed a few minutes only), also got my wooden handle jump rope (maybe 20 - 30 jumps, i kept tripping over the rope).  i mix em up for variety, and when i feel i am not tir...

17/07/2020 - brandon foltz youtube series watch progress

here to report my progress on brandon foltz's youtube series grazed through anova, regression, logistic regression next up is ancova i think these techniques will be useful in modeling and machine learning, i guess.

statistics 101 on youtube

hi  just wanted to recommend some beginner level statistics youtube video -  https://www.youtube.com/c/BrandonFoltz/playlists  - his playlist is grouped by topic book - statistics in a nutshell - o'reilly i am currently using these 2 to learn the math part after that i will explore python, i am not sure can i jump headfirst or i need to refresh python

21/06/2020 - asian dishes i tried cooking

omelette prawn omelette add sugar as prawns are salty, and i like sweet omelette slice the prawn thinly and fry them before, use mince garlic  onion omelette perpendicular slice the onion so they cook faster, fry beforehand silverfish omelette use the tiny ones. fresh, cooked (boiled) ones are ok scent fry them with minced garlic till golden brown  use less soy, or salt than usual caipo omelette use sweet caipo (dried good section) salty one also can, but must boil to leach out the salt and add sugar scent fry with mince garlic beforehand add less salt or soy to the egg mix greens sambal sauce sambal petai slice petai in half, there's a weak spot somewhere, rid the inside shoot also (they smell so good when they are fresh, i dont understand why they are called stink beans) scent fry chunked garlic, add perpendiular slice onion, cook, then add water to often, and cook further to reduce moisture add in sambal mix (i use asyuri or something like that), heat, add water, add petai,...
