17/10/2020 - my obsession with routine

back to my obsession with routines again
i'm obsessed with self motivation and self regulation, like how do you build up positive habits
according to google, some includes:
  • being positive yourself
  • do small. small wins are the way you do it. don't set yourself up for failure and unpleasantness. don't overreach too soon.
  • associate with people who are positive and get their life in order and talks about how they feel proud about it.
  • my mum finds discipline easy and is the person who picks stuff up after you
    •  but she will also get lazy and spoilt if you do too much of her stuff
  • dad is only motivated at work.
    • he works 6 days a week. for god knows how many decades. under the sun. standing in the hangar, in the runway.
    • at home, he's quite the slob, but we don't demand much of him.
  • do extra for people. doing nice stuff for people that doesn't feel like you are overdoing (this qualifier is important).
    • i fill up people's water bottles, bring out the trash, bring in the laundry at night, all stuff i never used to do
  • be neat and tidy, like once a day or every few days
    • clean your workplace,
    • tidy and organize your digital one too
      • (browser bookmarks, i have one group called do it tomorrow, which lists my designated websites associated with the task i want to achieve for the day)
  • procrastinate a little. just so. feel proud about yourself for a while.
    • here i am browsing self improvement articles
    • browsing why people like to complain
    • baby sleep regression
    • watch kitties kitties and more kitties on tiktok
    • writing this lame post
  • goals and journeys
    • what i like and don't like about those google modules is
    • they have all those milestones
    • really gets the job done. you find yourself clicking away one of the other
    • but i'm also not sure if i absorbed well

its a little premature but i got to say the whole weaving exercise into your morning routine works. my morning routine is minor household chores and then exercise and then bath or just plain gross sweaty.
  • part of the laundry cycle,
  • water plants
    • actually i had to build that in too
    •  just because i dislike my legs getting wet every time i water the plants with that huge water can which takes forever to fill
  • filling my bedroom water supply and topping up the kitchen on
  • and now some exercise mat workouts with some aerobics like skipping,
    • i ran this morning actually, there's a circuit just downstairs
    • running makes me feel like puking and the air into your nostrils is so cold.
warning - very boring

i solved the problem of brushing teeth. disclosure. i used to almost never brush teeth at night. then i figured out the strong mint in the toothpaste was keeping me at night, like i couldn't sleep if my teeth were too clean and my mouth was too fresh. but i'm quite smug to say the dentist doesn't have much to clean because i occasionally DIY and metal pick my teeth for the hard tartar.

so i'm using kids toothpaste - colgate's minion bubblegum fruit flavor at night, lmfao. and a low mint one in the morning - darlie all shiny white with baking soda and coconut oil, i don't know why but it is really cleaning between the gaps and all the tartar, don't have to keep rebrushing my teeth. now i  automatically go brush teeth if we come home after dinner because i want that bubblegum fruit flavor and squeezing that blue gel out of the tube. what the. such an overgrown kid.

blue gel toothpaste for ya
